The Florida Lottery announced a significant week for scratch-off players, with a total of ten individuals claiming $1 million prizes from various games sold across the state. This lucky group included residents from across Florida and even one winner who traveled from Texas to collect their winnings.
The announcements began on Monday, when Danita Wright, 65, of Saint Johns, claimed a $1 million prize from the popular $50 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose a one-time lump-sum payment of $640,000.00. Wright purchased her winning ticket from Publix located at 2845 County Road 210 W. in Jacksonville, which received a $2,000 bonus commission.
Also on Monday, Frantz Colin, 47, of Cooper City, claimed his $1 million prize from the $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Miami District Office.

Colin also opted for the lump-sum payment of $640,000.00. His winning ticket was purchased at Stop N Go, located at 1177 W. Commercial Boulevard, earning the retailer a $2,000 bonus.
Tuesday saw two more million-dollar winners. Gail Riola, 67, of North Port, claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH game at the Lottery’s Orlando District Office. Like the others, she took the $640,000.00 lump sum. Riola bought her ticket at Circle K, 41 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte, which received the $2,000 bonus. Later that day, Mary Mayers Johnson, 34, of Deerfield Beach, claimed a $1 million prize from the 50X THE CASH game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee, receiving the $640,000.00 lump sum. Her winning ticket came from Publix, 1140 S.W. 36th Avenue in Pompano Beach, also resulting in a $2,000 bonus for the retailer.
The winning streak continued into Wednesday with two more claims. Pamela Mashburn, 66, of Milton, claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH game at Lottery Headquarters, accepting the $640,000.00 lump sum. She purchased her ticket from Circle K at 5819 Dogwood Drive in Milton, which received the $2,000 bonus.

Also on Wednesday, Benjamin Ramirez Gomez, 31, of Cape Coral, claimed a $1 million top prize from the LOTERIA GRANDE™ Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters. He also took the $640,000.00 lump sum. Ramirez Gomez bought his winning ticket at 7-Eleven, 1021 Santa Barbara Boulevard in Cape Coral, earning the retailer a $2,000 bonus.
Thursday added two more names to the list of millionaires. Isadora Thompson of Orlando claimed a $1 million prize from the BONUS LETTER CROSSWORD Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Orlando District Office, taking the $640,000.00 lump sum. Her ticket was purchased at RaceTrac, 745 Palm Bay Road N.E. in West Melbourne, which received the $2,000 bonus. David Hendry, 55, of Tampa, also claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH game at the Lottery’s Tampa District Office, choosing the $640,000.00 lump sum. Hendry’s winning ticket came from Publix, 2401 W. Azeele Street in Tampa, resulting in a $2,000 bonus for the retailer.
The week concluded on Friday with two final $1 million claims. Notably, David Le, 30, of Katy, Texas, traveled to Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee to claim a $1 million prize from the $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game. He also received the $640,000.00 lump sum. Le purchased his winning ticket from Walmart Liquor Box, located at 1619 Del Prado Boulevard S. in Cape Coral, which received the $2,000 bonus commission. Finally, John Lopez, 33, of Miami, claimed a $1 million prize from the same $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR game at Lottery Headquarters, also accepting the $640,000.00 lump sum. Lopez bought his winning ticket from La Nueva Bella Market, 2800 N.W. 13th Avenue in Miami, which earned the $2,000 bonus.
The $50 500X THE CASH game, which produced five of last week’s millionaires, features a top prize of $25 million and boasts overall odds of winning at 1-in-4.23. The $50 $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR game, responsible for three million-dollar winners last week, offers two top prizes of $1 million a year for life and 234 $1 million prizes, with overall odds of winning at 1-in-4.50.
