PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists in Pinellas County should prepare for potential traffic delays this week as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has scheduled a series of lane closures across interstate highways and major local roads for various construction and maintenance projects.
The closures, impacting Interstates 175, 275, and 375, as well as Alt US 19, US 19, Sunset Point Road, and SR 679, are primarily set for overnight hours, but some daytime and ongoing restrictions are also in effect.
The scheduled work is anticipated to cause disruptions from Sunday, May 11, through Saturday, May 17. Drivers are strongly encouraged to plan their commutes in advance, consider alternative routes, and allow extra travel time, especially during periods when closures overlap with heavier traffic.
