Trinity Man Arrested For St. Petersburg Attempted Homicide Of Ex-Girlfriend

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg Police have announced the arrest of 27-year-old Peter Guirguis, charged with attempted first-degree homicide and aggravated stalking following a brutal attack on his ex-girlfriend that left her with a serious head injury

Guirguis was taken into custody Monday night at his home in Trinity by St. Petersburg detectives and the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently being transferred from the Pasco County Jail to the Pinellas County Jail to face the charges.

The violent incident occurred on May 10th at approximately 1:43 a.m., when Guirguis allegedly traveled to the victim’s home at 10600 4th St. North, Gateway Isles Apartments. Authorities state he attacked her in the parking lot, causing a serious head injury that required hospitalization.

Detectives revealed a history of domestic violence between the couple, and it has been confirmed that the victim had an active injunction against Guirguis at the time of the attack.

Since the assault, detectives have been working to gather evidence, culminating in Guirguis’s arrest.
