President Trump has endorsed Republican Jack Ciattarelli. This endorsement immediately positions Ciattarelli as the clear frontrunner in the upcoming June 10 GOP primary.
Ciattarelli, a former New Jersey assemblyman and the Republican nominee in the 2021 gubernatorial race, still faces challenges in the primary. Despite the endorsement, his internal polling data from May and April indicated a substantial lead over his closest competitor, former radio host Bill Spadea, by 31 and 28 points respectively.

In a Truth Social post, the president stated, “Jack, who after getting to know and understand MAGA, has gone ALL IN, and is now 100% (PLUS!). He is strongly supported by the most Highly Respected Leaders in New Jersey and, as your next Governor, Jack Ciattarelli will work closely with me and the Trump Administration to advance our America First Agenda.”
He further added, “Jack Ciattarelli is a WINNER, and has my Complete and Total Endorsement. HE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, ELECT JACK CIATTARELLI!”
Ciattarelli responded to the endorsement with a statement on X, emphasizing the need for Republican unity. “Truly humbled and honored to receive President Trump’s very strong endorsement today,” he wrote. “It’s time to unite our party, win big in November, and make New Jersey affordable and safe again. When I’m Governor, we will.”

The endorsement comes after Trump met with both Ciattarelli and Spadea in March at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club. During these meetings, both candidates presented their case for his support. According to the New Jersey Globe, Spadea had reportedly attempted to portray himself as the more authentic pro-Trump candidate.
Ciattarelli’s previous gubernatorial bid in 2021 saw him narrowly lose to the incumbent Democratic Governor Phil Murphy by a margin of just three percentage points, a performance that exceeded expectations in the traditionally Democratic state.
His current campaign is focusing on key issues such as the cost of living, government reform, energy policy, Second Amendment rights, education access, and housing policy. Ciattarelli has stated his intention to campaign alongside the president should he secure the GOP nomination in June. Earlier this month, he expressed support for the president’s border security measures and his efforts to address the trade imbalance.
