GIBSONTON, Fla. – A violent robbery on the streets of Gibsonton on Tuesday has resulted in the arrests of two men, with a third individual also facing charges after a subsequent investigation.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Maggie Street and Alice Avenue. According to authorities, two men, identified as Rocky Hart, 28, and James Doggett, 36, confronted a male victim. During the altercation, both Hart and Doggett allegedly struck the victim before stealing his backpack and phones and fleeing the scene.
Following the robbery, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies identified and located the suspects at a residence on Ohio Avenue in Gibsonton. A search warrant was obtained for the property.

When searching the residence, deputies discovered the backpack that had been stolen during the robbery. Additionally, they found ammunition, methamphetamine, synthetic cannabinoids, and drug paraphernalia.
James Doggett was subsequently arrested near Gibsonton Drive and Gloria Street on a charge of Battery. Rocky Hart faces more severe charges, including Robbery with a Firearm or Deadly Weapon ($750 or More, but Less Than $20,000), Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Battery.
A third individual present at the Ohio Avenue residence, Rachael Woodruff, 31, was also arrested. Woodruff has been charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister commented on the arrests, stating, “Violent crimes will never be tolerated, and thanks to the quick work of our deputies, these criminals will suffer the consequences.”
