Wanted: Polk County Sheriff’s Office On The Lookout For Lakeland Man In Business Burglary

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating 28-year-old Sherredric Williams of Lakeland, who is wanted on charges of Burglary with over $1,000 in Damages and Petit Theft. A warrant for his arrest was issued following an investigation into a business burglary that occurred on March 25th.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the burglary took place at approximately 10:30 pm at a business located on US 98 in Lakeland. Investigators determined that the suspect gained access to the property by creating a hole in the surrounding fence. Once on the premises, a window was broken, allowing entry into the business itself.

Inside, the suspect allegedly went directly to a cash register and removed an undisclosed amount of money. During the burglary, the suspect left behind crucial evidence for investigators, including fingerprints and some blood.

Further investigation revealed that the physical description of the suspect matched a former employee of the targeted business – Sherredric Williams. Detectives followed up on this lead by visiting Williams’ residence. There, they discovered shoes belonging to Williams that had bloodstains on them. Additionally, blood was observed on the bathroom floor of the residence.

The evidence collected at the scene of the burglary was then processed, and fingerprints lifted from the location were positively matched to Sherredric Williams.
