Despite recent shifts in immigration enforcement strategy, Border Czar Tom Homan affirmed on Fox News Monday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) remains committed to worksite enforcement operations, particularly those targeting criminal enterprises.
Speaking on “The Ingraham Angle” with guest host Kayleigh McEnany, Homan addressed the Trump administration’s reported halt of immigration arrests at certain businesses like farms, restaurants, and hotels due to concerns over economic fallout.

This move came despite a previous push by Stephen Miller for a significant increase in daily arrests.
Homan clarified that while the administration prioritizes public safety and national security threats, worksite enforcement remains a crucial component of ICE’s mission under President Donald Trump.
“Look, like everything else, the president is prioritizing public safety threats and national security threats. When it comes to worksites, we prioritize those operations too,” Homan stated. “Many places we will target the worksite enforcement operations. It’s gonna have to do with forced labor trafficking, sex trafficking and criminal investigations. Where they’re not paying taxes, there’s tax evasion or they’re funding cartel activity.”

He emphasized that ICE agents would continue to follow the President’s direction, with a clear focus on criminal conduct.
“We prioritize worksite investigation too. We’ll prioritize them like we do everything else, but worksite enforcement operations, it’s a tenet of what we’re doing. It’s important. What we’re doing, we’ll continue those,” Homan reiterated.
When questioned about morale within ICE amidst public backlash and doxxing incidents, Homan expressed unwavering resolve.
“Morale is high. Agents are used to being attacked. Yeah, they’re getting doxed. I’m getting doxed. My family gets doxed,” Homan said. He added, “When you attack an ICE officer, you’re attacking 20,000 of them because the camaraderie in ICE is tight. So when they double down, we triple down.”
