1 Man Killed, Tampa Police Searching For Suspect

TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa Police are searching for a suspect in a homicide investigation on Tuesday evening.

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police are searching for a suspect in a homicide investigation on Tuesday evening.

According to investigators, Tampa Police responded to the report of an assault in the 1500 block of N. Nebraska Ave on Tuesday evening.

Officers arrived to find an adult black male in his mid-thirties with upper body trauma. He was transported to a nearby hospital and died from his injuries.

“Although early in the investigation, this does not appear to be a random incident,” said Tampa PD.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early to mid-thirties who was wearing a gray shirt and gray jogging pants and reportedly fled the scene in a black SUV, possibly a Nissan.

Detectives are currently gathering evidence and working to develop additional leads in this case to identify and apprehend the suspect.
