WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation related to a single boat crash that occurred sometime Saturday morning in the lake on the north side of Lake Eloise in the unincorporated area of Winter Haven.
“We received a call this morning at around 6:50 a.m. There is one deceased person at this point it appears to be a single boat crash with one occupant where a boat collided with a cypress tree in the lake,” said Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies are searching the area in case there was more than one occupant of the boat.
