Ten people were wounded by gunfire early Sunday when an argument became violent at a Florida party venue.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office told the Associated Press that none of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries. Deputies detained a 16-year-old suspect near the location of the shootings, which occurred shortly after midnight.

A big crowd had assembled for a late-night event at Cabana Live in Sanford, about 20 miles north of Orlando, when gunshots rand out.

According to the sheriff’s office, the wounded were largely hit in the lower limbs.

“The incident began as a verbal altercation that escalated,” sheriff’s spokesperson Kim Cannaday said in a statement emailed to the Associated Press.

The shooting suspect was apprehended by a security guard at the event and sent to a juvenile detention center, according to the sheriff’s office.

It was not immediately clear what charges the teenager was facing.

On Sunday afternoon, Cabana Live posted on Facebook, “As most of you have heard, there was an incident outside our establishment last night. We are cooperating with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and praying for all those involved. We reserved our venue out for a private event and we are still learning as the investigation continues what was the cause of this isolated incident. Our Cabana Live family is 100% safe and appreciate all the prayers and concerns. We are open our normal business hours.”
