2 Puppies Found Dead In A Submerged Dog Crate In Canal, Police Need Your Help

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – Pinellas Park Police need your help after two puppies were found dead submerged in a dog crate.

On May 14th, the Pinellas Park Police Department responded to a call for service where two deceased puppies were found inside a dog crate submerged in a canal along 84th Ave.

Concerned citizens located the dog crate and removed it from the canal. Both dogs were estimated to be three months old, and both were pit bull-style breeds.

Investigators are asking for the community’s assistance in locating any suspects in this case.

“We want to remind anyone struggling with their household pets that there are services such as Pinellas County Animal Services or local non-profit agencies where animals can be surrendered.  We encourage anyone to seek assistance and safely surrender an animal instead of an unfortunate situation we are currently investigating,” said PPPD.
