OLDSMAR, Fla. – A 20-year-old man was killed in a crash Sunday in Oldsmar after a car made a U-turn into the path of his motorcycle.

According to investigators, on Sunday, at approximately 9:35 a.m., deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded to Tampa Road and Oakleaf Boulevard in Oldsmar to investigate a motorcycle vs vehicle crash.

Deputies say 20-year-old Benjamin Brown was traveling eastbound on Tampa Road, approaching Oak Leaf Boulevard on a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle.

At the same time, 73-year-old Mitchell Wnorowski was traveling westbound on Tampa Road, driving a 2006 Gold Cadillac, and entered the left turn lane for Oakleaf Boulevard.

Wnorowski began to make a U-turn on Tampa Road and ultimately entered the path of Brown.

Brown was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, deputies say.

Wnorowski was uninjured, and next of kin has been notified, deputies say.

According to investigators, it does not appear that speed and impairment are factors in the crash.
