POLK COUNTY, FL. – Three people were killed and three airlifted to the hospital in a crash that happened on Lake Hatchineha Road at the cross street of Watkins Road, east of Haines City.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Investigators and Crime Scene Unit were called to the scene of the crash around 12:00 pm on Monday.
There are three confirmed fatalities, and three trauma alert patients being taken out via helicopter. All are believed to be adults,” said Polk County Sheriff’s Office in a statement.
It was reported that two vehicles were involved, one of which caught fire.
