3 Shot In Front Of 7-Eleven In Zephyrhills Saturday

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Three people were shot in Zephyrhills on Saturday after an altercation escalated into gunfire.

According to police, on Saturday, at approximately 2:40 PM, Zephyrhills Police responded to 7-Eleven located at 38544 5th Ave. about a shooting.

Investigators say four individuals were involved in a verbal altercation in front of the store. The altercation then became physical.

During the altercation, two individuals brandished firearms and exchanged gunfire. As a result, three people suffered gunshot wounds and were transported to area hospitals.

Two individuals are listed in critical condition, and the other is listed in stable condition, police say.

“This was an isolated incident, and there is no existing threat to the public,” said Zephyrhills Police Public Information Officer Kevin Weiss.
