HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. – A 32-year-old Valrico man was found dead “in or near” a retention pond after crashing his motorcycle, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the man was riding a motorcycle southbound on US-301, along the ramp leading to westbound I-4, when the driver lost control of the bike.
The motorcycle departed the roadway and entered the shoulder, ejecting the rider in or near an
adjacent retention pond, troopers say.
Investigators say, it is unknown when exactly the crash occurred; however, the rider was located deceased
at the crash scene during the early afternoon hours of February 18, 2022.
