ZEPYRHILLS, FL. - A 33-year-old Canadian man was killed after a hard landing while skydiving in Zephyrhills Thursday.

33-Year-Old Canadian Man Dies After Skydiving “Hard Landing” In Zephyrhills

ZEPYRHILLS, FL. – A 33-year-old Canadian man was killed after a hard landing while skydiving in Zephyrhills Thursday.

On Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 1:19 pm, the Zephyrhills Police Department responded to a 911 call at Skydive City, 4241 Sky Dive Lane, Zephyrhills, in reference to a hard landing of a solo skydiver.

Pasco Fire Rescue also responded to the location and the skydiver, James Southam, a 33-year old male from British Columbia, Canada, was transported with severe injuries as a trauma alert to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center; he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Zephyrhills Police Department Detectives and Crime Scene Investigator were on scene for further investigation; the investigation is ongoing.
