4 People Shot, Including 1 Teen In St. Petersburg Overnight After Verbal Argument Ends In Gunfire

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Four people were shot overnight in St. Petersburg after a verbal argument ended in gunfire.

According to police, on Sunday, at about 11 p.m., officers responded to shots fired by a large group of people gathered outside 400 49 St. S.

Four victims were transported to Orlando Health Bayfront, one by ambulance and the others self-transported.

“At this time, it appears a group of men got into a verbal argument and exchanged gunfire outside of the location,” said St. Petersburg Police Department PIO Yolanda Fernandez.

The victims, three men in their 20’s and a 17-year-old woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Three were treated and released overnight. One is still in the hospital with a foot injury, police say.

At this time, the suspects are unknown.

The investigation is ongoing.
