4-Year-Old Boy In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Ford Expedition In Clearwater Beach

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian call this morning in the 400 block of South Gulfview Boulevard on Clearwater Beach.

The child who was struck, a 4-year-old boy, remains in critical condition at All Children’s Hospital.

Police say the boy was struck by a 2024 Ford Expedition being driven by a valet driver at the Opal Sands, 430 S. Gulfview Blvd. The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

The boy was flown to All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg by medical helicopter, according to police.

Traffic homicide investigators are on the scene. This is a developing story.
