HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. – A 41-year-old Sarasota man is in critical condition after a pickup truck turned into the path of the man on a motorcycle.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the pickup truck was traveling eastbound in the left turn lane of MLK Jr. Blvd in Seffner.
Troopers say the motorcycle was traveling westbound on MLK Jr. Blvd. when at the intersection of Orange Street, the pickup truck turned left into the path of the motorcycle.
Investigators say the motorcycle struck the right rear of the truck, overturned, and the driver was ejected from the motorcycle as the pickup truck came to a controlled stop.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.
