44-Year-Old Man Dies After Shooting In Plant City

PLANT CITY, Fla. – A 44-year-old man has died after a shooting in Plant City on Sunday night, police say.

According to police, on Sunday, at approximately 9:30 pm., the Plant City Police Department responded to a 911 call of a reported shooting in the 1200 block of Mendonsa Rd.

When officers arrived, they located an adult white male victim who had sustained upper body trauma.

The male victim was transported to a local hospital but later died from his injuries.

Police have located a person of interest and are actively investigating this incident.

“There is no active threat to any residents in the area currently,” said Plant City Police Department in a media alert.
