PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – According Florida Highway Patrol, a 49-year-old New Port Richey Man has died as a result of a hit and run in Spring Hill Thursday night.
During the late hours of October 29th or the early morning hours of October 30th, a pickup truck was traveling westbound on Bowman Road west of US41. The 49-year-old man was walking westbound near or on the white fog line of westbound Bowman Road west of US41.
The driver of the pickup truck failed to see the man in the roadway. As a result, the right front of the vehicle struck the man. The man was propelled to final rest in the north grass shoulder west of the area of the collision.
The driver left the area of collision in the pickup truck without rendering aid or leaving the proper information required by law. The 49-year-old man succumbed to the injuries he received in this crash and was pronounced dead on the scene at 8:56 AM Friday morning.
