PINELLAS COUNTY, FL. – A 55-year-old Palm Harbor man was killed when he was struck by a car walking across US-19, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say a car, driven by a 28-year-old Clearwater woman, was traveling southbound on US-19, south of Nebraska Avenue, in Palm Harbor.
Investigators say as the man attempted to cross the highway westbound, he entered the path of the vehicle, which collided with the pedestrian.
Troopers say the man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
