SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla. – A 60-year-old St. Pete man has died from injuries sustained Wednesday afternoon in a crash that happened around 12:45 PM.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man was traveling northbound on I-275 in the inside lane near approaching 22nd Avenue South when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the pickup truck.
Troopers say the pickup truck departed the roadway, entered the median, and collided with a tree before stopping.
FHP says the man was transported to a local hospital, but later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
