64-Year-Old Tampa Man Dies After Crash In Pasco County

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 64-year-old Tampa man was killed in a crash that happened on Saturday around 7:19 a.m., according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the man was driving a Ford F250 pickup eastbound on Plathe Road, west of Rowan Road when the vehicle departed the roadway and entered the south shoulder for an unknown reason. 

The truck collided with a fence and came to a stop, troopers say.

The man was transported to an area hospital but later died investigators say.
