WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla – A 24-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday night in the hit and run crash that killed a 64-year-old woman.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Nicole Marie Gennarini Cresswell, 24, was located by troopers just before midnight, sitting in her gray 2019 Nissan Sentra at a home in Wesley Chapel.
Gennarini Cresswell was arrested by FHP Troopers and taken to the Pasco County Jail during the early morning hours of Wednesday, charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving a death.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the c Gennarini Cresswell collided with a 64-year-old Wesley Chapel woman who was utilizing a mobility scooter to retrieve mail at the roadway edge.
Following the crash, which caused damage to the front right portion of the vehicle, Gennarini Cresswell fled the scene as the Wesley Chapel woman suffered fatal injuries.
