7 Florida Lottery Scratch-Off Players Claim Total Of $8,000,000 Last Week

In the past seven days, The Florida Lottery announced seven winners from scratch-off tickets, totaling $8,000,000 claimed!

On Monday, the Florida Lottery announced that Willie Myrick Jr., 57, of Lakeland, claimed a $1 million prize from the GOLD RUSH LIMITED Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings in annual installments of $40,000 a year for 25 years.

For Myrick, the $1 million prize is more than a lucky strike; it’s a way for him to give back to his family. “I feel so blessed,” Myrick told the Lottery. “The first thing I plan to do is use some of my winnings to take care of my mother.”

Myrick purchased his winning ticket from 7-Eleven, located at 7040 Church Avenue North in Mulberry. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

On Tuesday, Gary Franklin, 52, of St. Petersburg, claimed a $1 million prize from the new 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00.

Franklin purchased his winning ticket from B & N Food Mart, located at 2000 62nd Avenue in St. Petersburg. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Also on Tuesday, Earnest Dillard, 47, of Mobile, Alabama, claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00.

Dillard purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 2180 West Nine Mile Road in Pensacola. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Nothing was announced on Wednesday, but Thursday things picked up. Evan Fried, 42, and Sandra Rmus, 54, both of Sarasota, each claimed a $1 million prize from the new 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game.

Fried chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00. He purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 8300 Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Rmus also chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00. She purchased her winning ticket from Publix, located at 5100 Clark Road in Sarasota. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

And included Thursday was Christopher Engle, 57, of North Fort Myers. He claimed a $1 million top prize from the CASH CLUB Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Fort Myers District Office. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $880,000.00.

Engle purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 6700 Bayshore Road in North Fort Myers. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

On Friday, Yaimara Montes de Oca, 32, of Miami, claimed a $2,500 A Week for Life top prize from the $2,500 A WEEK FOR LIFE Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Miami District Office. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $2,330,000.00.

Montes de Oca purchased her winning ticket from Navarro Discount Pharmacy, located at 14055 Southwest 88th Street in Miami. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 75 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $1.3 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2020-21.
