85-Year-Old Man Killed Crossing Starkey Road In Seminole

On Friday at approximately 6:00 a.m., deputies responded to Starkey Road and Park Boulevard in the City of Seminole for a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – On Friday at approximately 6:00 a.m., deputies responded to Starkey Road and Park Boulevard in the City of Seminole for a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

According to investigators, 27-year-old Kenderrick Pearson was driving a 2015 GMC pickup truck northbound on Starkey Road in the curb lane.

Investigators say the pedestrian, 85-year-old Michael Gravino, was walking from west to east across Starkey Road, not in a designated crosswalk.

As Pearson transitioned into the center lane of Starkey Road, he struck Gravino with his vehicle.

Gravino died at the scene of the crash from injuries suffered.
