SARASOTA, Fla. – This alert has been canceled and the man was located safe.
“The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to report Mr. Brougher was located in good health, in the company of Ms. Whitaker, by the Indianapolis Police Department,” said the Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives are working with Indiana officials as well as Mr. Brougher’s family to coordinate his safe return to Sarasota County.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office was seeking assistance from the public in locating a missing endangered adult.
Jefferson W Brougher is described as a w/m, 5’7’’ 160lbs, gry/bro. and 88 years of age.
He was last seen with his former caregiver Tomiko Whitaker. They were last known to be driving Ms. Whitaker’s vehicle, a black Honda HRV, Indiana plates BN4827 and possibly heading back to Indiana.
