Well, this seems awkward.
The politician overseeing the FBI that raided and ransacked former President Donald Trump’s home looking for classified documents apparently kept classified documents in his former workplace.
Attorney General Merrick Garland has directed the U.S. attorney in Chicago to review classified materials found at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington.
As in President Joe Biden, whose former office housed the sensitive secrets.
And as it so happens, the records were found on Nov. 2, just days before Election Day — and about two weeks before Garland appointed a special prosecutor to oversee a criminal investigation into whether Trump broke the law by having classified records stashed in a closet in his Mar-a-Lago estate.

According to CBS News, which first reported the breach, the records found in Biden’s office were from his time as vice president. Biden’s private lawyers apparently discovered them while packing up the office to create space in the center.
They found about ten documents in all, which were mixed with unclassified materials.
“A source familiar told CBS News the documents did not contain nuclear secrets,” the network reported.
“President Biden learned about the presence of the classified documents when his lawyer reported them to the White House counsel’s office in November,” CBS News continued. “A source familiar said the president is unaware of their contents. The documents are believed to be currently held in a secure location in Washington.”

Yet Biden did not see fit to reveal this to the nation, even as he was complaining about the previous president stashing such materials.
As he said of Trump in September, “How that could possibly happen? How anyone could be that irresponsible?”
The Penn Biden Center is connected to the University of Pennsylvania, which hired Biden as a “professor” in 2017 and paid him more than $900,000, without him ever teaching a class.
