Habitat Pasco Ground Breaking for New Home

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Mike and Charlotte Arnold gathered with Habitat staff and friends to break ground on their new Habitat home on December 10, 2020. A groundbreaking ceremony is just one way that Habitat joins in with partner families to celebrate the building of their affordable home. No Habitat home could be built without the dedication of donors, volunteers, and friends who support Habitat partner families as they begin the journey to homeownership.

Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco is building a home for the Arnold family on Buford Avenue in Dade City. The home will be handicapped accessible in order to allow the Arnolds to age in place.

Habitat hopes to complete the home in the spring of 2021. While Habitat has been able to continue to build affordable homes during the pandemic, the cost of building has risen due to the lack of volunteer help. Habitat welcomed volunteers back to the site in November by adhering to safety guidelines for COVID.
