On April 26, 2023, Judge Duthie handed down Licari’s sentence, ordering her to serve between 19 months and five years in prison. In his remarks, the judge emphasized the severity of Licari’s actions, describing the case as “truly horrible” and expressing his relief that his term was coming to an end.
Prosecutor David Barberi echoed the judge’s sentiments, labeling Licari’s behavior as one of the most “bizarre cases” he had encountered.
