ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - St. Petersburg Police have made an arrest in the October murder of Antwahnn Evans.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg Police have made an arrest in the October murder of Antwahnn Evans.

James Bingham, 22, has been charged with first-degree murder.

According to police, on October 9, at 5:36 a.m., Bingham went to a house at 1021 James Ave. South.
When they didn’t open the door, he fired shots at the house with a rifle.

Several members of a family were inside the home at the time.

Antwahnn Evans, 51, attempted to shield his grandchild from the bullets. Police say he was shot multiple times and died of his injuries on October 18th.
