Auburndale Man’s Motorcycle Burst Into Flames After Head-On Crash Into Jeep In Pasco County

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – An Auburndale man is dead and several people injured in a crash that happened Friday around 8:57 pm.

According to troopers, a Honda CB500 motorcycle was traveling on northbound SR-39 at a high rate of speed.

While attempting to pass multiple northbound vehicles in a no-passing zone south of Pattie Road, the motorcycle crashed head-on into a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The motorcycle overturned before colliding with a guardrail and bursting into flames.

The rider, a 27-year-old Auburndale man, was propelled down an adjacent embankment, suffering fatal injuries.

Troopers say the Jeep Cherokee came to a stop along the shoulder of the roadway with the driver, a 17-year-old Plant City male, and several teen passengers suffering minor injuries.
