BALTIMORE, MD. – Tyson Richardson was recently granted a dream from the Sunshine Foundation for a family trip to Pennsylvania parks and attractions with a stay at Cartoon Network Hotel.

Tyson lives with the challenges of Tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital heart defect that is made up of four problems and results in not enough blood flow to the lungs.

“Tyson and his sister (Autumn) had an amazing time. They really enjoyed laser tag. Tyson often pretends to be a superhero or villain. He was able to live out that fantasy thanks to the Sunshine Foundation!” said Tyson’s mother.

Sunshine Foundation answers dreams to children with life-long chronic conditions such as: spina bifida, cerebral palsy, profound low-functioning (Level 3) autism, Down syndrome, hydrocephalus, severe epilepsy, Sickle Cell Disease, blindness, deafness, trauma from abuse, and others.

Sunshine Foundation relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and corporations to make these dreams a reality for children that may be turned away from other wish-granting organizations that require a life-threatening or critical diagnosis.

Tyson’s “Dream Come True” was made possible through a generous donation from the annual Glory Days Grill golf tournament.

The most common request is a Magical Dream to visit Disney World, Legoland, SeaWorld, and Universal Studios while choosing to stay at the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village near Disney.
