ST. PETERSBURG, Fla – Beer first arrived on Florida’s shores with the Spanish some 500 years ago, but the 20-plus breweries filling the St. Petersburg Museum of History on July 29 will offer a much more local taste!

Beers on the Pier, a history-filled craft beer festival, returns to the Museum of History on Saturday, July 29 from 7p-10p.

More than 20 breweries—from Florida to California—will offer a sampling of their unique brews throughout the Museum’s galleries.

Pre-sale tickets are available on the museum’s website – HistoryStPete.org – for $40 ($45 day-of) and include unlimited sampling with the event’s souvenir tasting cups.

The annual event is presented by J.J. Taylor Florida Distributing, with proceeds benefiting the preservation of St. Petersburg’s history.

A sampling of the breweries includes Cigar City, 7venth Sun, Abita, Allagash, BarrieHaus, Brew Hub, Crooked Thumb, Cycle, Escape, Laguinitas, Magnanimous, Mastry’s, St. Pete Brew, Tank, Terrapin, Walking Tree, Sierra Nevada, and New Belgium.

“We’re excited to partner with J.J. Taylor to bring Beers on the Pier back to the Museum of History,” said Museum Executive Director Rui Farias. “Craft beer has a deep history in Florida, and it’s only fitting to share these beers in a 101-year-old museum!
