HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A 37-year-old Dover man was killed Tuesday afternoon following a collision between a bicycle and a tractor-trailer at the intersection of SR-574 and Sydney Dover Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash occurred at approximately 12:55 PM. A tractor-trailer, driven by a 68-year-old man from Toronto, Ontario, was traveling eastbound on SR-574.

Authorities say that the bicyclist, who was traveling northbound along the east side of the intersection, failed to yield the right of way. The bicyclist reportedly entered the path of the eastbound tractor-trailer and was struck.
Tragically, the 37-year-old Dover man sustained fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
