Liberals proclaim that the “asylum seekers” illegally flooding America’s southern border in unprecedented droves are merely seeking a better life than what they had in whatever alleged hellhole they left.
To that end, California’s Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom apparently wants to ensure the illegal immigrants entering our nation have the full spectrum of services in his radical, left-wing utopia.
According to the Post Millennial, Newsom has pledged illegals can qualify for sex-change procedures at taxpayers’ expense.

As of last Monday, the Post Millennial reported, everyone in California qualified for Medi-Cal, the state’s publicly funded health insurance program that until recently was reserved for the poor, families with children, senior citizens, people with disabilities or in foster care, or pregnant women.
As for illegals, they could only get care under Medi-Cal if they needed emergency treatment or pregnancy-related care.
But the expansion of taxpayer-funded health insurance included a new wrinkle with the arrival of the new year.
The new rules allow for publicly funded procedures that “bring primary and secondary gender characteristics into conformity with the individual’s identified gender, including ancillary services, such as hair removal,” the Post Millennial noted.
The stipulation is that so-called “gender-affirming care” is only covered when it’s “medically necessary.”
“In California, we believe everyone deserves access to quality, affordable health care coverage – regardless of income or immigration status,” Newsom said in a statement last year when the legislature included illegals in Medi-Cal.

“Through this expansion, we’re making sure families and communities across California are healthier, stronger, and able to get the care they need when they need it.”
The addition of the illegals to the “gender-affirming care” provision should not be all that surprising.
California has long been a sanctuary state for illegals.
In 2022, though, Newsom enacted a bill that made California a “sanctuary” state for transgenders elsewhere by banning his state’s officials from enforcing laws from other states that denied access to transgender medical procedures and drugs, especially for children.
