TAMPA, Fla. – CareerSource Tampa Bay (CSTB) proudly announces a significant milestone in its commitment to empowering the youth of Hillsborough County through the Tampa Bay Hires program. On September 14th, 2023, CSTB will distribute more than 300 laptop computers to young adults in the community who are facing technological disadvantages that hinder their employment opportunities.
These deserving recipients have been identified based on financial need and their successful completion of the Tampa Bay Summer Hires program, meeting all program requirements with dedication and enthusiasm.
In an effort to equip these young individuals for success in education and employment, CSTB is not only providing laptops but also Access Kits, which include a headset, a Bluetooth mouse, and a protective kit. The program will send a notice to those in the program who qualify for the free laptop.

Leondra Foster, Director of Youth Programs at CareerSource Tampa Bay, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “We’re excited to be able to provide these opportunities under the leadership of our CEO, John Flanagan, to disadvantaged and low-income youth in our community.
