CLEARWATER, FL. – Looking for some fun in the sun in Clearwater this month? Look no further as the city has planned multiple events for family fun.

Clearwater Comic-Con: March 5, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Ross Norton Recreation Center, 1426 S Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.

The Clearwater Public Library System will host its annual Clearwater Comic-Con event at a new location for 2022. The event is free. Dress as your favorite character and participate in a costume contest. Visit comic artists, attend an informational panel and check out a variety of vendor booths.

The Morningside Market Marie: March 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Morningside Recreation Center, 2400 Harn Blvd.

Hosted at the Morningside Recreation Complex and in partnership with Market Marie, this market will feature craft vendors, food trucks, live music as well as the Touch-A-Truck. Stop by and enjoy this free community event.

Henry L. McMullen Century Tennis Tournament: March 12 to 13, Henry L. McMullen Tennis Complex, 1000 Edenville Ave.

For the first time, the Henry L. McMullen Tennis Complex will host a century tennis tournament with men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles play. Call (540) 226-4939 for more information.

Pig Out on Reading: March 12, 2 to 3 p.m., Countryside Library, 2642 Sabal Springs Drive See Farmer Minor, two adorable pugs, and Daisy the reading pig share stories of their fame and farm life.

Election Day: March 15, your local precinct, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Clearwater Council Seats 4 and 5 will be voted on March 15. The current candidates are David Albritton, Maranda Douglas, and Gary Lee for Seat 4 and Aaron Smith-Levin, Lina Teixeira, and Jonathan Wade, Sr. for Seat 5.

MOSI: Cryo-Cool: The State of Matter: March 17, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., 1 to 2 p.m., 3 to 4 p.m., Clearwater Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave.

Is it magic or science? MOSI scientists will use liquid nitrogen to investigate solids, liquids and gases at subzero temperatures.

Dive-In Movie: Shark Tale: March 18, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., The Long Center, 1501 N. Belcher Road Bring your float and friends to enjoy a movie in the Long Center pool.

Clearwater Hispanic Farmers Market: March 19, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 710 Court St.

Shop handmade goods at this unique market infused with Hispanic flare.

Green Grow the Lilacs: A Solo Cello Tribute for St. Patrick’s Day March 19, 2 to 3 p.m., Countryside Library, 2642 Sabal Springs Drive Solo Violoncello, Theresa Villani, will entertain with an afternoon of reels and jigs.

Giant Sidewalk Coloring of Florida Wildlife: March 21, 2 to 3 p.m., Clearwater Beach Library, 69 Bay Esplanade Color a giant mural of Florida wildlife and sea life with sidewalk chalk. All ages welcome.

Shopping With a Vibe Presents Reggae and Seafood Fest: March 26, 3 to 8 p.m., Walter C. Campbell Park, 801 N. MLK Jr. Ave.

The second installment of this exciting new market. There will be vendors, live entertainment, food trucks, raffles, spoken word/poetry, arts & crafts, bounce houses and some of the best food in town.

Clearwater Neighborhoods Day: March 26, noon to 6 p.m., neighborhoods across Clearwater The popular event where the city of Clearwater staff and elected officials tour the city and visit neighborhood block parties is back in 2022, for the first time since 2019.
