Wokeism continues to seek to topple cultural dominoes in almost every place not governed by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.

One recent example: country music.

The husky, twangy renditions that shared the toil, triumphs, and travails of largely blue-collar, rural Americans are increasingly threatened by the Gavin Newsomeaque invasion in Nashville.

On Thursday, the College Fix, a conservative website focused on higher education, noted that three universities had partnered with the Country Music Association for a “Diversity and Inclusion Fellowship.”

Except the “inclusion” part actually excluded white people.

Although “white” was an option for applicants to identify themselves in the online form, the application itself noted: “The CMA Diversity & Inclusion Fellowship is designed to provide a select group of BIPOC students with an immersive experience in the Country Music industry, offering qualifying students an insider look into CMA’s Communications team in the weeks leading into the 50th anniversary of CMA Fest, June 8-11, 2023.”

According to The Fix, that language drew a federal civil rights violation complaint for the participating schools: the University of Tennessee, University of Alabama, and Belmont University in Nashville.

The Fix noted that University of Michigan-Flint professor emeritus Mark Perry filed the complaint with the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.

The Free Press has reported on several of Perry’s past attempts to rectify programs and situations like this one. He has successfully filed hundreds of complaints to force changes as involved in the CMA fellowship program.

Perry told The Fix that the three schools “are actively violating” federal law, as “non-BIPOC students are illegally excluded from this program and discriminated against on the basis of their race, color, or national origin.”

Perry expressed confidence that the violation was so blatant that even the woke Biden administration would side with him.

“It is a clear violation of (federal law) that these three universities are

illegally excluding and discriminating against certain students (white or non-BIPOCs) and denying them educational opportunities on the basis of their sex and gender identity that are being offered exclusively to BIPOC students,” Perry told The Fix.

He labeled it just “one more disappointing example” of universities “either being cluelessly unaware that this type of BIPOC-only (no whites allowed) discrimination is illegal or they are instead inexcusably unconcerned about violating the civil rights of certain groups (white, non-BIPOC students in this case).”

Perry recommended that universities “undergo remedial civil rights training so that they learn that BIPOC-only, no whites allowed programs like the music Fellowship are illegal.”
