POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 61-year-old Davenport man has died in a crash that happened in Davenport around 7:15 am Friday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Wright Tree Service truck with a utility trailer, was traveling eastbound in the driveway at St. Charles Plaza on 39883 US-27.
Troopers say as the truck turned left into the parking lot, it collided with a bicyclist traveling in the crosswalk of the driveway and came to final rest.
The bicyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash, according to FHP.
