HERNANDO BEACH, Fla – Hernando County Sheriff’s Deputies said a woman is in custody after barricading herself and two children in a home Saturday.
According to an HCSO spokesperson, a woman had barricaded herself inside her home after allegedly shooting her male “domestic partner.”
Deputies say that two small children were in the residence and taken to a safe location.
One victim has been transported to a local trauma center, deputies say.

SWAT and crisis negotiators attempted to get the woman to leave the home, the HCSO spokesperson said. Deputies found the woman and two small children when they entered the home.
The children were unharmed, and the male victim is in critical condition.
