Extended Closure of West Hernando Branch Library for Renovations

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – The West Hernando Branch Library, located at 6335 Blackbird Avenue in Brooksville, has extended its temporary closure due to new maintenance and repairs. This Branch will now reopen to the public on January 11, 2021.

Items on hold at the West Hernando Branch can be picked up at the Spring Hill Branch, located at 9220 Spring Hill Drive. The book-drop at the West Hernando Branch will reopen on December 21, 2020, for item drop.

This renovation project is brought to you and made possible through grant funding provided under the provisions of the State Aid to Libraries Grant program, which is administered by the Florida Department of State’s Division of Library and Information Services.

Residents are invited to visit the three additional Hernando County Library branches listed below that will remain open to the public during this timeframe:

  • Main Library – 238 Howell Avenue in Brooksville
  • East Hernando Branch – 6457 Windmere Road in Brooksville
  • Spring Hill Branch – 9220 Spring Hill Drive in Spring Hill
