PLANT CITY, Fla. – At 3:14 PM, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue received a call for a structure fire in Plant City, with the caller reporting visible smoke and flames coming from a mobile home.
The first arriving unit reported heavy fire and smoke coming from a single-wide mobile home. Crews quickly pulled a hose line and initiated an offensive attack.
The fire was under control in 5 minutes and was completely extinguished in 13 minutes. Crews conducted both primary and secondary searches. No occupants were in the structure, according to officials.
There were no reported injuries to citizens or fire crews. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The American Red Cross was called in to assist the displaced family.
