TAMPA, Fla. – Taylor Swift. She’s broken 92 Guinness World Records and won numerous music awards for songs like “Me” and “You Need to Calm Down.” And who can forget “Shake it Off?”

Tickets for her April 13th performance at Raymond James Stadium have been selling for over $6,000.00.

But The Cypress Foundation, a 501(c) 3 charity organization in Orlando, is hosting a concert fundraiser giving away four free lower-bowl Taylor Swift tickets to a lucky winner.

The winner will be picked through Rafflebox on Instagram Saturday, April 1st, at 10 a.m. At the same time, the charity is hosting a “50/50 Add-on” raffle worth $300 cash to a separate winner.

That winner will also be picked by Rafflebox. Both winners will be immediately notified upon completion of the drawing.

The Cypress Foundation provides help for financially limited or disadvantaged students in West Orlando, helping them gain access to athletic opportunities and character development inherent in sports programs.

Andre Hock, Director of The Cypress Foundation, described an example of the impact of the charity’s work.

“We had a set of brothers with a great family but less than optimal athletic opportunities where they used to live. We helped with funding to help make sure the parents had the resources to send them to another school, which has enabled them to receive interest from an Ivy League school and the military academies.” Hock said the family had suffered financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cypress Foundation member, Richard Ionelli, said the organization’s goal is to raise $10,000. “This concert fundraiser helps us provide opportunities that give children a chance to either play a sport they wouldn’t be able to play or to go to a school that they would not necessarily be able to.”

The charity organization’s website indicates the foundation helps defray the costs of attending private schools, getting into club sports, family travel, and athletic equipment.

It also provides scholarships for camps and clinics, saying, “We provide motivated students in the West Orlando area access to resources and opportunities that enable them to contribute character, ability, and enthusiasm to their community.”

100% of the proceeds from the Taylor Swift concert fundraiser will go directly to the supported students and their families.
