FROSTPROOF, Fla. – Come to the forest and continue a family tradition, or start a new one by cutting down your own Christmas Tree! The Florida Forest Service Annual Sand Pine Christmas Tree Sale starts on November 27, 2023.

Trees will be harvested along School Bus Road on the Arbuckle Tract of the Lake Wales Ridge State Forest in Frostproof.

Trees are available for $10 and will require a special use permit available from the Florida Forest Service office.

Anyone interested must bring their hand saw; power saws are not allowed. Sand pines 15 feet or less can be harvested.

“This year, we are hosting a free event on Saturday, December 2nd. Our Family Fun Day will be held from 10 am- 2 pm at the McLean Cabin Day Use Area on School Bus Road,” said Florida Forest Service.
