Florida Gov. DeSantis’ Campaign Offers Blue State Conservatives A Cup For Java, Announces New York Ad Campaign

New York City launched an ad campaign Monday that takes aim at the Florida Parental Rights In Education law.

The campaign will use digital billboards in Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, and West Palm Beach, according to a New York City news release.

New York City’s crime is rampant in the streets, and in the Big Apple, where Adams once wore the NYPD blue, 101 cops have been shot so far this year, up 43 percent from a year ago.

The city’s unemployment rate was so high, clocking in at 7.6 percent. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics notes that New York’s jobless rate is only 5.5 percent, but that’s because it’s included with the much more robust economies in Newark and Jersey City. Still, at 5.5 percent, that’s 25 percent above the national rate.

New York City “accounted for four of the top US counties with population losses” for the year ending in July 2021. Manhattan alone lost 111,000 people in that year, while Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx plunged almost 193,000 people combined.

Yet amid all those problems, NYC Mayor Eric Adams on Monday tweeted about Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law.

“We have a message for Florida’s LGBTQ+ community: come to a city where you can be you,” the mayor tweeted.

On Tuesday, Florida Governor Desantis’ Campaign has a message for New York and blue state conservatives.

I ❤️ NY the Free State of Florida

“In response to cries for bold leadership from New Yorkers who wish their governor was Ron DeSantis, we launched a new way for blue state conservatives to quietly protest while they sip their coffee, said the DeSantis Campaign.

“Because of Governor DeSantis’s leadership, hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers fled their homes for the Free State of Florida, but there are many other New Yorkers who certainly wish they had a different governor and haven’t been able to make the move to freedom just yet. Now they can rep their support for Governor DeSantis—and their home state—with pride,” the campaign added.

“We heard directly from a few of these New York refugees in our recent Spring Break video ad, which we launched in March,” said DeSantis’ Campaign.

“There is a reason why Governor Ron DeSantis is known as America’s Governor. Florida is free and open compared to the alternative in blue states, like New York, and welcomes fellow freedom lovers who haven’t yet made the move to the Free State of Florida. We are placing digital ads in New York targeting potential Floridians,’ concluded the DeSantis campaign.
