As Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley dumps millions of dollars into ad buys in Iowa and surges in polls in New Hampshire, Gov. Ron DeSantis’s camp broadened its attacks on the former South Carolina governor, building the case that she is a closet liberal.

The Florida Republican’s campaign unveiled TheRealNikki.com on Friday, a new website dedicated to exposing Haley as “supportive of every liberal cause under the sun.”

The website posted a 3-minute video of clips of Haley speaking about various policy positions, some going as far back as 2012 and including her time as South Carolina’s governor and ambassador to the United Nations under former President Donald Trump.

DeSantis’ campaign provided several examples of Haley’s fondness for liberal ideas and causes.

For instance, they noted that she once claimed to enter politics because of Hillary Clinton.

DeSantis also highlighted Haley’s opposition to the wall on the southern border and promoted mass immigration as necessary.

The website also spotlighted Haley’s coziness with Chinese interests and companies connected to the Chinese Communist Party. In one example, according to DeSantis, Haley engineered South Carolina giving 200 acres of free land near a military base to a Chinese fiberglass manufacturer tied to the CCP.

TheRealNikki.com also recalls that Haley, as governor, opposed a bill to keep transgender girls out of biological girls’ restrooms and locker rooms, and denounced efforts to outlaw transition surgeries for children.

On other issues, the website noted that Haley:

Enacted or endorsed hikes in her state’s sales tax and gas taxes.

Backed the arguments of Black Lives Matter about the death of George Floyd and said his death should be “personal and painful for everyone.”

Argued that South Carolina would welcome Disney if the company wanted to leave Florida because it opposed the state’s Parental Rights in Education law that prohibited instruction in gender identity or sexual orientation in classrooms and after Disney executives revealed a “not-so-secret gay agenda” to inject “queerness” into children’s content.

Labeled Alabama GOP Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s opposition to the Pentagon’s “abortion tourism” policy as “shameful.

Finally, DeSantis’ website picked up on Haley’s latest flub from earlier this week, when she announced that one of her first priorities, if elected, would be to force social media companies to eliminate anonymous accounts. She also called such accounts a “national security threat.”

To bolster that, DeSantis’ campaign added new merchandise: A black T-shirt, available for $28, quoting Haley saying “everyone” on social media should be identified by name, and illustrated with a pair of binoculars and the phrase “Always watching.”
