Florida Lottery Announces 3 New Scratch-Off Millionaires This Week Totaling $4,000,000

The Florida Lottery announced three new millionaires this week totaling $4,000,000 in winnings!

On Tuesday, the Florida Lottery announced that Gary Rashford, 59, of Fort Myers, claimed a $1 million top prize from THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000 Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Fort Myers District Office.

He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000.00.Rashford purchased his winning ticket from Becks Food Store, located at 4821 Buckingham Road in Fort Myers.

The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket. The $30 game, THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000, launched in February 2020 and features 155 top prizes of $1,000,000 and over $948 million in cash prizes! The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-2.79.

On Wednesday, the Florida Lottery announced that Sean Smith-Ogara, 34, of Crestview, claimed the first $2 million top prize from the new 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Pensacola District Office. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,645,000.00.

Smith-Ogara purchased his winning ticket from Tom Thumb, located at 1463 State Highway 83 in Defuniak Springs. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

On Friday, the Lottery announced that Esmeralda Zelaya, 66, of Pembroke Pines, claimed a $1 million prize from the $5,000,000 LUCK Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Miami District Office. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $760,000.00.

Zelaya purchased her winning ticket from Publix, located at 6901 Taft Street in Hollywood. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $20 game, $5,000,000 LUCK, launched in September 2019 and features more than $329 million in cash prizes, including six top prizes of $5 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-2.97.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 75 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $1.3 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2020-21.
