A Florida man was arrested for pointing a CO2 pistol at a school bus as his children were being dropped off on Tuesday.

According to deputies, on Tuesday, around 3:40 p.m., Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting that someone had pointed a gun at a school bus.

Deputies were sent to the area just outside Greenwood, Florida, made contact with the bus driver, and quickly learned the location of the suspect, identified as Troy Hezzie Lamar Summers Jr.

Statements from multiple victims and witnesses confirmed Summers approached the bus while his children were being dropped off, and pointed what was believed to be a gun in the direction of the bus. The bus driver continued his route and notified law enforcement immediately.

When deputies made contact with Summers at his home, a replica CO2 pistol was found, and matched the description of the gun provided by witnesses.

Summers was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Jail.

He is being charged with eight counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. This investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are forthcoming.
